Welcome to Lucy’s Kinderdagsalon at Sint Cathrijnestraat 12 in the centre of Zaandam. Our main location is a small-scale, homely daycare centre where children from 8 weeks to 4 years can grow and discover in a safe, loving environment. We offer both horizontal groups (0-2 years and 2-4 years) and vertical groups (0-4 years), so you can choose what suits your child best. Every day starts together with singing songs and discussing our five-week theme. We explore through creative activities, experiment with different materials and actively involve parents in everything we do. Our 700 m² outdoor area invites running, jumping, tag and hide-and-seek; together we also take care of our vegetable garden and chickens, so children learn from an early age where food comes from. Twice a week we serve a fresh, warm meal, preferably with vegetables and herbs from our own garden. The children can help with sowing and harvesting, playfully discovering new flavours. In between, healthy snacks and plenty of drinks are ready; bottle feeding and special dietary requirements are of course also provided. Our team of qualified pedagogical staff provides familiar faces on the groups every day. We follow a clear daily routine with fixed table and rest times, so your child knows what to expect. Afterwards you will receive a personal handover and you can follow the whole day via our parent portal. We understand that the first time is exciting; that is why we schedule an intake interview and two settling-in days, so that you and your child can start with peace of mind.
