LPS kinderopvang Sint Anthonius is located on the same grounds as primary school Sint Anthonius at Burgemeester Versluijsstraat 20 in Oud-Vossemeer. We are part of the Lowys Porquinstichting, an organisation that unites more than thirty schools and several childcare locations. Our motto is ‘unity in diversity’: every site has its own character, yet we share knowledge, facilities and support. Our day-care centre welcomes up to 16 children aged 0 to 4. The groups are horizontally structured, giving each age group the space to develop at its own pace. Our regular pedagogical staff create a safe, familiar and rich play-and-learn environment every day. Learning through play is central: from running and building castles on our spacious outdoor playground to reading, singing and crafting in the home corner. Activities are linked to the primary school’s theme, so toddlers naturally become familiar with the school setting. Pre- and early-school education (VVE) is standard practice for us. We work closely with Sint Anthonius primary school, Zo op de Pluus toddler care and the other schools in Oud-Vossemeer. In this way we follow each child’s developmental path from the very first day and ensure a seamless transition to the kindergarten classes. We use the child-tracking system KIJK! to monitor development and actively involve parents. Our four pillars – ‘learning who you are’, ‘we do it together’, ‘room to grow’ and ‘healthy & happy’ – underpin everything we do. We give children space to discover themselves, teach them to cooperate and build confidence in their own abilities. Health and happiness are just as important to us as development. That is why we regularly cook and bake with the children, work in our vegetable garden and devote plenty of attention to outdoor play and nature experiences. Parents are our partners in upbringing. We share information, listen to wishes and invite you to help shape our pedagogical policy. Together we create a warm, safe place where your child can grow and flourish.
