Welcome to childcare centre Lodijke – where every child grows in confidence. Childcare centre Lodijke is part of IKC Lodijke: an Integral Child Centre where childcare and education work closely together. Through shared themes we ensure a smooth transition between the different ages and developmental stages. Therefore we offer a continuous learning line for children from 0 to 4 years old, in which childcare and education flow seamlessly into each other in an environment of peace, safety and security. We provide a warm and familiar environment in which every child can play, develop and grow safely. Education and childcare work together according to one pedagogical vision, ensuring a 'soft landing' when transitioning to primary education. At childcare centre Lodijke we believe that every child is unique. That is why we work child-centred: we follow the natural development, pace and needs of each individual child. We look carefully at who your child is, what they need and what they enjoy. Parental involvement plays an important role in this. We find it important to work together with parents. During drop-off and pick-up times our pedagogical staff make time for a short conversation. This way we stay informed about what is happening in your child's life, both at home and at childcare. At least twice a year we hold an in-depth parent meeting, in which we reflect together on your child's development. We do this based on our observations and with the help of the tracking system ParnasSys. In our baby-toddler group, for children from 0 to 2 years old, we give every child the space to discover the world playfully. Everything here revolves around peace, security and familiar attention. The day starts calmly, crawling through the room or exploring in the playpen. Then together at the table for a tasty piece of fruit. When it's time for a nap, this can be done in one of the spacious bedrooms, adjacent to the groups. In the afternoon we sit together again for a sandwich or a healthy snack. We end the day with a fun activity such as playing on our baby playground, toddler gym or with a craft project. Your child plays in a cosy group or on our baby playground, in a specially designed house where peace and safety are central. Taking a moment to unwind in the cosy sensory room, or reading a book together in the book house – these are moments that provide connection, relaxation and development. Our location has its own unique character symbolised by a ship, with which children can go on a discovery journey. Because at Lodijke the child is at the helm of their own development. On the ship various symbols are displayed representing our core values: the binoculars stand for ambition, the treasure chest for meaningful learning, the message in a bottle for trust, the helm for responsibility, the oars for cooperation and the captain's hat for respect.
