Welcome to Kindcentrum Lourdes, a warm and safe place for children aged 4 to 12 in Westbeemster. Our childcare centre has been a familiar presence in the village for over 100 years and offers primary education, toddler care and after-school care all under one roof. The BSO is part of Stichting Blosse and is located in a unique setting: tucked away behind a former convent, surrounded by meadows and with plenty of space to play and explore outdoors. Our after-school care is small-scale and offers space for up to 15 children. We work with a close-knit team of pedagogical staff who know every child by name. The care is designed to give children rest, space and challenge after school. We make full use of the extensive facilities of the childcare centre: a gym for sports and games, a library in collaboration with Purmerend Waterland Library, a school garden and a large sports and play field. We also regularly organise outings and activities in the natural surroundings. The collaboration between care and education is a matter of course for us. Children who attend Lourdes primary school experience a smooth transition between school and after-school care. We coordinate themes and activities with the teachers and offer a familiar environment in which children feel safe and valued. Parents are actively involved through the parent portal and are assigned a personal mentor as a fixed point of contact. Our BSO is open Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm. We offer both before and after-school care. The children are cared for in a homely atmosphere, with room for relaxation, play and development.
