Loge in Huis

LoGé in huis is a small-scale daycare centre located at Vijverlaan 2d in Scherpenzeel. Since 2008 we have provided care for up to 16 children in a homely atmosphere, so that every child quickly feels safe and at home. We work with vertical groups, where brothers and sisters of different ages share one group. This approach creates a warm, family-like climate in which babies (0-4 years) and toddlers naturally participate side by side. Our daily routines closely resemble those of an ordinary family. We shop together, feed the ducks in the park and spend plenty of time outdoors. These outdoor moments are essential to us: fresh air, natural stimuli and space to run, crawl or roll are part of every child’s development. Whenever possible we choose activities that match the seasons and the immediate surroundings. What truly sets us apart is our partnership with nursing home ‘Huis in de Wei’. Children and elderly residents regularly meet: they sing songs, do crafts or play games together. We observe how children display social behaviour at a very young age during these encounters. These inter-generational activities not only bring joy, but also stimulate children’s language and social-emotional development. Our team consists of experienced pedagogical staff who have cared for the same children for years. Continuity and familiarity are central to our approach. We offer flexible opening hours from 07:00 to 18:00 so parents can align childcare with their working day. At LoGé in huis personal attention comes first: every child is unique and is given the space to grow at his or her own pace.
