Welcome to Lio & Sproet, our small-scale daycare centre located at Damkensvoetpad 2 in Starnmeer. Everything we do revolves around loving development: children are free to be themselves, play, explore outdoors and get wonderfully messy without any pressure to perform. We operate one vertical group for up to eight children aged 0–4, ensuring every child receives the space and attention they deserve. Our large garden with chickens, rabbits and a vegetable patch is the children’s favourite playground. Here they learn about nature, pick their own vegetables and herbs, and enjoy a warm organic lunch prepared fresh every day. Fresh fruit and drinks are also included. We believe children should feel safe and at home; therefore we follow steady daily rhythms and offer plenty of opportunity for rest and comfort. Lio & Sproet is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:00, closed on official public holidays and between Christmas and New Year. We are officially registered with the GGD Hollands Noorden and operate on behalf of the municipality of Alkmaar. In addition to childcare, we provide pedagogical coaching to parents and professionals under the IKK Act, working together to give every child a loving and carefree childhood.
