Liezenboerderij

Liezenboerderij is a welcoming daycare centre run by Columbus Junior, located in a beautifully restored 1947 farmhouse at Larenseweg 102 in Holten. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in a warm, homely setting that encourages development, exploration and play. Our indoor spaces are specially designed for the youngest children. The group rooms feature themed corners so that children always know where to find their favourite toys. The characteristic elements of the old farmhouse create stimulating yet safe spaces that invite play and interaction. Separate sleep rooms ensure every baby or toddler can rest when needed. Outside, children enjoy a spacious natural discovery garden that wraps around the farmhouse. A secure area is reserved for the youngest children so they can play and explore safely. There is a natural sandpit, a little discovery trail for independent exploration and various play spots tailored to the world of young children. We use horizontal grouping: Betje Big and Jaap Schaap welcome children from 0 to 2 years, while Kaatje Kip is for 2- to 4-year-olds. This guarantees age-appropriate activities and a familiar, safe environment for every child. Pre-school and early-years education (VVE) is an integral part of daily care. We use the Uk & Puk programme to give children who need extra support playful stimulation in their development. All activities are personalised and carried out in close consultation with parents and, when relevant, referrals from the child health clinic. Liezenboerderij is centrally located in Holten and easily accessible. Although our site also hosts toddler care and after-school care, the daycare centre operates independently and is fully focused on the very youngest children.
