Les Petits 't Kwakersnest IKC Westbroek

Welcome to KDV ’t Broekje, our small-scale daycare center located within the Integral Child Center (IKC) Westbroek in Velserbroek. We provide a familiar and trusted play and development environment for up to 12 children aged 0 to 4 years. As part of Les Petits Childcare, we work closely with De Westbroek primary school and BSO Westbroek, allowing children to grow up in one familiar environment from infancy through primary school. We operate with a vertical group structure where children of different ages play together. Babies learn from older children, while toddlers develop care and confidence by considering the little ones. Our pedagogical staff get to know your child well over four years, enabling them to optimally respond to individual needs. Our approach is inspired by Reggio pedagogy. Children are naturally creative and express themselves through movement, dance, clay work, drawing, and crafts. We offer daily creative activities and have a dance and music teacher who provides workshops on a rotating basis. For toddlers, we use 'movement wiggles' to stimulate indoor and outdoor movement. Our own outdoor space is a true discovery area with a mud kitchen, sandbox, playhouse, and picnic table. When weather permits, we enjoy playing outside or go on joint adventures to explore the world. We work with a fixed daily schedule that provides structure and peace of mind, operating from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Through our parent portal Konnect, you can follow your child's day via an app on your phone. We share daily photos and messages, keeping you involved in your child's development.
