Les Petits Bos en Duinschool (de Tovenaartjes)

Welcome to Les Petits Bos en Duinschool – de Tovenaartjes, our day-care centre in the heart of Bloemendaal. We are located inside the Bos en Duinschool at Bos en Duinlaan 1a, in a quiet, green neighbourhood. The centre has room for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years and is organised in same-age groups. Every day two qualified pedagogical staff members guide the group, and each child has a personal mentor who is the primary contact for parents. We are an officially recognised Early Childhood Education (VE) site and follow the Uk & Puk programme. The ten themes of Uk & Puk connect perfectly with toddlers’ world of experience; the hand-puppet Puk accompanies the children as their playmate through all activities. During the themes we focus on language development, social-emotional growth, motor skills and sensory stimulation. The surrounding nature is actively used as an extra learning environment: the garden, the greenery and even the nearby library are regularly visited to bring the themes to life. Our spacious outdoor playground invites exploration and play. Thanks to close cooperation with the kindergarten groups of the Bos en Duinschool, the transition from our day-care centre to primary education is smooth and playful. We believe it is essential that children feel safe and secure so they have the freedom to develop to their full potential.
