2Vleermuizen is a small and welcoming daycare centre located in the Vruchtenbuurt district of The Hague. Our bright, spacious building on Vlierboomstraat 366 has its own natural garden and is connected to De Vlierboom primary school through an internal door, giving children a familiar bridge from childcare to education when the time comes. We offer two horizontal groups: a baby group and a toddler group. The rooms sit side by side and are linked by an internal door, so brothers and sisters can visit each other just like at home. The baby room provides calm sleeping corners, soft colours and safe play areas for our youngest guests. In the toddler room exploration and independence are key: we set up different play corners, a construction area, a reading nook and a creative table for crafts, painting and clay work. All materials are chosen to match each child’s developmental stage, interests and curiosity. Our work is guided by 2Samen’s pedagogical framework, built on the principle “we see you.” This means we truly look at each child, seek to understand their behaviour and tailor our guidance accordingly. We offer warmth and security so every child feels free to grow. For the oldest toddlers we organise special “3-plus” activities that gently prepare them for primary school. We also provide pre-school education (VE) in partnership with the school, focusing on language, numeracy and social skills. Outdoor play is an important part of our day. Our natural garden invites running, climbing, sand-pit adventures and seasonal discoveries. We believe children should experience nature and learn to play with what each season brings. Sleeping outdoors in the fresh air is possible when parents wish. At 2Vleermuizen personal attention and small-scale care come first.
