KSH KDV Ommoord

KSH KDV Ommoord is a warm and professional daycare centre located within the Albert Plesman Christian Primary School in Rotterdam-Ommoord. Together with the school, we form IKC Albert Plesman, offering children a familiar place to grow from baby to toddler. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in two vertical groups, where younger and older children play and learn together. This setup encourages social development and gives every child the space to develop at their own pace. Our vision is simple: "It just has to be fun." This principle is reflected in everything we do. Our spaces are thoughtfully designed: a home corner for role-play, a car corner for exploration, and a quiet baby area where the youngest can crawl and play safely. At the table, children can puzzle, build with Duplo or take part in a game activity. Every day we go outside, where children can run, climb and develop their motor skills on our playground or in the gym. We use the VVE programme ‘Ben ik in Beeld’, with a strong focus on language development. Through themed activities, such as the Uk en Puk programme, we stimulate the broad development of every child. Our themes are aligned as much as possible with those of the Albert Plesman school, ensuring a smooth and familiar transition to primary education. We regularly organise joint activities such as singing, reading or movement sessions, allowing children to become familiar with school life at an early age. In addition to daily care and activities, we also offer special workshops such as toddler yoga or toddler football. The daily routine provides structure and calm, exactly what young children need. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to guide children on their journey of discovery, with attention to safety, challenge and fun.
