Welcome to KSH KDV De Hoeksteen, located at Kerkwervesingel 24 in Rotterdam-Zuid. Our small-scale daycare center is part of KSH Kinderopvang, an organization with over 35 locations across the Netherlands and more than 25 years of experience in childcare. We provide a safe, homely environment where children aged 0 to 4 can develop optimally. We operate with one vertical group, welcoming up to 16 children per day. This setup allows children to learn from one another and fosters social development. Our experienced pedagogical staff create a warm atmosphere where every child receives the attention they deserve. The bright spaces radiate calm and are designed at child height, helping children feel at home quickly. At KSH KDV De Hoeksteen, we place great importance on movement and healthy nutrition. We are an official Lekker Fit location, an initiative by the municipality of Rotterdam. This means we offer at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily, aligned with the weekly theme. Activities include running, climbing, and scrambling on our own outdoor playground, or using the gym and outdoor areas of the primary school we collaborate with. We also emphasize healthy eating: children receive fresh fruit, raw vegetables, and a warm, nutritious meal every day. Water and tea are always available. We love taking the children on outings. We regularly stroll with prams to the forest, playground Neeltje Jans, or the petting zoo. Nature is an extension of our group space. Of course, we ensure every child gets enough rest. In our separate bedroom, children can sleep whenever they need to, in a quiet environment tailored to their sleep rhythm. Everything your child needs is included: diapers, (bottle) feeding, sunscreen, and other care products. So you never have to worry about extra costs or forgotten items. Through our parent portal, our team shares daily photos and reports, keeping you updated on all your child’s adventures.
