Krullevaar

Welcome to Peuteropvang Krullevaar, located on the ground floor of primary school De Krullevaar in the historic centre of Schoonhoven. In a cosy, homelike group room we provide care for toddlers aged 2 to 4. The space is carefully arranged with several play corners: a construction area for hammering and stacking, a doll corner for role-play and a creative table for colouring, cutting and sticking. We follow the Puk programme. Each week centres around a recognisable theme – for example ‘autumn animals’ or ‘my body’. Linked to the theme we sing songs, dance, read stories and create small pieces of art. Activities are designed so that your child effortlessly enriches Dutch vocabulary, practises fine motor skills and learns to play together. Peuteropvang Krullevaar is an approved Early Childhood Education (VE) site. Children with a VE indication receive extra language stimulation: we name what we see, repeat words in short sentences and place new words in a little story. In this playful way we practise speaking, listening and vocabulary. Thanks to the direct link with the kindergarten classes of De Krullevaar, the step to primary school becomes small and familiar. Your child already gets to know the corridors, the teachers and the school rhythm. We provide care during all school weeks, Monday to Friday morning. Half-day or full-day sessions are possible, tailored to the needs of you and your child.
