Welcome to Daycare De Wipwap, located at Schelpenlaan 1b in Terneuzen. We are part of the Stichting Kinderopvang Zeeuwsch Vlaanderen foundation and have been providing trusted and professional childcare in the region for over 40 years. Our location is uniquely situated in a building shared with primary schools De Parel and Irisschool, creating a warm, homely atmosphere where children feel safe and secure. At De Wipwap, we operate with horizontal groups, bringing children together in age-specific groups. We provide care for up to 80 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide each child at their own pace in their social, emotional, and cognitive development. We offer pre-school education (VE), playfully preparing toddlers for primary school. Our outdoor space is a true paradise for children. We have a natural playground with a hill, willow hut, winding paths, a vegetable garden, a water feature, and a bird's nest swing. Children can play, explore, and learn about nature here. In the vegetable garden, we grow vegetables and fruits together such as cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers. Harvesting and tasting our own produce is always a celebration! Creative activities are high on our agenda. Children can cut, paste, color, and build with various materials. We also work with themes that connect to the children's world of experience. Additionally, there is plenty of room for imagination and personal initiative. We believe it's important that children can choose and have input, allowing them to develop optimally. For the safety and well-being of your child, we use a personalized parent app. Through this app, you can see what your child has experienced at any time of the day, report absences, and request swap days. This way, you stay involved in your child's development, even when you're not physically present. Our location is officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) under number 219764268, entitling you to childcare allowance. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We also offer extended opening hours from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM and from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. During school holidays, we remain open so you can always count on us.
