Welcome to Korein Schouwbroekseweg, our after-school care (BSO) located in Strijp, Eindhoven. We are situated inside SPILcentrum Philipsdorp de Bergen, which also houses primary school De Bergen. This close partnership allows children to walk straight from their classroom to a familiar, safe and welcoming place after school. Every afternoon is an adventure at Korein. We believe children thrive when they can choose their own activities. Whether they want to climb and run in our challenging outdoor area with play equipment, or relax indoors with a book or creative project – it’s all possible. Our professional staff offer a wide range of materials and activities tailored to the world of 4- to 12-year-olds. We encourage independence, cooperation and self-expression, and we help children learn to make choices and stand up for themselves. Child participation is very important to us. Our BSO has its own children’s council where kids help decide on activities and rules, learning responsibility and mutual respect in a playful way. We follow the same pedagogical policy as our SPIL partners, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. The location can welcome up to 44 children. We are open on school days from 14:30 to 18:30, and on Wednesday afternoons from 12:30 to 18:30. During school holidays and study days we are open from 07:30 to 18:30.
