Korein De Ruimte

Korein De Ruimte is located at Honingbij 3 in Son en Breugel, in a unique, bright building that opened in February 2015. We provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Together with primary school De Ruimte – a Sterrenschool – we create one place where growing up, learning and playing come together. Our location has room for up to 46 children and is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 229103558. At Korein De Ruimte, the development of every child is central. We follow the pedagogical policy of Korein Groep, in which space, trust and personal initiative are key. Children are given the freedom to discover the world in their own way: climbing, clambering, falling and getting back up. We offer a development-oriented programme in which the natural talents and interests of the child are recognised and stimulated. For the very youngest, this means safe, quiet corners with soft sleeping places and a predictable daily routine. For toddlers and preschoolers, there are challenging corners with building materials, an art studio and a shared space where we sing, read aloud and play games together. Pre-school education (VE) is an important part of our programme. We use recognised methods that connect with the world of experience of young children. Our pedagogical staff carefully observe and record the development of each child, so that we can offer activities that precisely match what the child needs. The collaboration with primary school De Ruimte makes the transition to primary school extra smooth: children are already familiar with the building, the faces and the atmosphere from their very first day. Our building is specially designed for young children. There are separate bedrooms where babies and toddlers can sleep peacefully, a large garden with natural play equipment and an indoor space that can be flexibly arranged. We work with fixed groups so that children become familiar with their carers and with each other. Parents can always contact a fixed contact person with questions or requests. We believe it is important that parents feel welcome and stay involved in the care of their child. In short, at Korein De Ruimte we give children the space to grow at their own pace, in a safe, warm environment full of personal attention.
