Korein De Ruimte

Korein De Ruimte is located at Honingbij 1 in Son en Breugel, in a bright and modern building that opened in February 2015. We offer after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13. Thanks to our close collaboration with primary school De Ruimte, a Sterrenschool, the transition from school to after-school care is seamless. Children can use all the facilities in the building after school, such as a theatre, an atelier and a restaurant. This means they don’t have to get used to a new environment and can immediately start exploring, playing and learning. At Korein De Ruimte, the development of every child is central. We believe that children grow by taking on challenges and developing their own strategies in the process. Our pedagogical staff provide a safe and stimulating environment in which there is room for initiative, creativity and collaboration. We build on the natural talents and interests of each child and offer a diverse development-oriented programme. This means we organise activities that match what children enjoy and what energises them. The transition from school to after-school care is smooth and familiar. Children stay in the same building, with the same faces and the same atmosphere. We work closely with the teachers of primary school De Ruimte and make use of each other's knowledge and experience. In this way, we create a continuous learning and development environment in which children feel safe and valued. At Korein De Ruimte, children are given the space to be themselves, to discover who they are and to grow in their own way.
