Korein Afrikalaan

Korein Afrikalaan is located right next to the sports fields of football club SBC in Son en Breugel. We provide after-school care especially suited for children aged 7 to 13. With a maximum of 48 places we work in clear groups where every child has room to develop. Our site is all about sport and play. We make full use of the nearby pitches and facilities of SBC. The children do not need instructions: they form their own teams, invent game rules and set up formations. In this playful way they learn to cooperate, show leadership and deal creatively with space and tactics. Our pedagogical staff guide when necessary, but mainly give space for own initiative. After school our doors are open from 14.45 to 18.30 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The children come straight from school and can first catch their breath with a drink and a healthy snack. Then we go outside. In bad weather we use the indoor areas for table tennis, dance or movement corners, but we prefer to be outside. Our approach fits seamlessly with the school hours of the primary schools in Son en Breugel. We pick up children or parents bring them themselves. Safety comes first: the grounds are lockable and only accessible with an access code. Parents receive a tour in advance and can always drop by to take a look. In short, at Korein Afrikalaan children get the space to move, play and learn in a way that suits their age. We combine the freedom of being outside with the structure of professional after-school care.
