Welcome to BSO Kompas, our small-scale after-school care located at de Gildekamp 6010 in Nijmegen. We are part of KION and provide care for up to 40 children from primary schools De Luithorst and De Windroos. We put children at the center of everything we do. We challenge children in a way that suits their age and pay close attention to their wishes and needs. That's why children get to decide for themselves what they want to do, naturally under the guidance of our experienced pedagogical staff. Healthy nutrition, outdoor play, and making their own choices are important to us and are part of our daily program. We actively involve children in shaping their time with us. Through a children's council, we let children think along about activities, the layout, and the rules and agreements we make together. This way, we respond to their interests while giving them space to play freely and use their imagination. During school holidays, children from other KION after-school locations also come to Kompas. Together we turn it into an amazing holiday full of activities like dance workshops and football clinics. The after-school care is then open all day on the same days as during school weeks. Our opening hours are Monday from 7:30 - 8:30 AM and from 2:15 PM to 6:30 PM. We offer a safe, homely environment where children feel at home, with fun, attention, and respect at the center.
