Welcome to Kindercentrum KomMijn in Belfeld! Since September 1999 we have been offering warm, professional daycare to the very youngest in the heart of Limburg. From September 2003 we have been located in the Centre for Education and Care KOM.MIJN at Prins Frederikstraat 67C, where we provide babies and toddlers from 10 weeks to 4 years with a second home full of care and attention. Our day-care centre works with clear age groups: a quiet baby group, an active toddler group for children from about 20 months and a VVE pre-school group for children from 2.5 to 4 years. This horizontal layout ensures calm, recognition and development tailored to each child. Learning through play, discovering and getting to know the world around you in a safe way are central. Our pedagogical staff follow each child’s world of experience and offer extra stimuli or rest where necessary. Outside there is a spacious garden where children can run, cycle, build sandcastles and play together to their heart’s content. Nature is our second classroom: we regularly go on discovery tours in the neighbourhood and learn about the seasons and animals around us. Indoors everything is also geared to development and fun: small corners to retreat to, large spaces to move around and materials that match the curiosity of young children. We work according to VVE programmes (Pre- and Early School Education) that tie in with the world of experience of young children. In this way we prepare toddlers for primary school in a playful manner. In short: at KomMijn children grow up in a safe, challenging environment where every child is allowed to be themselves.
