Welcome to KombinoCare, your small-scale daycare centre right in the heart of Hoogerheide. For thirteen years we have opened our door at Raadhuisstraat 17 every morning for up to sixteen children aged 0 to 4. Parents choose us precisely because of that small scale: here every toddler knows every carer and vice-versa. We are not big, but personal and committed. Every child is welcome – with or without extra care. Besides our regular toddler group we also offer specialised nursing care. Children who need tube feeding, have diabetes, epilepsy or severe respiratory problems can grow up safely with us. Our qualified nurses and pedagogical staff work together so that every child receives both expert guidance and warm attention. We create opportunities for every child. Our space is modern and thoughtfully designed. Inside, a sensory room stimulates the senses, interactive panels and a ceiling projector swap educational games on the floor. The real surprise, however, is outside: a complete outdoor kitchen, play corners, a vegetable garden and a slide-and-toddler hill. You would not expect that when you walk past our façade! We cook and bake together, plant and harvest in our garden and make regular trips to the gym or to nursing home Hoogerwaard across the road, where we visit the grandmas and grandpas – an encounter that brings both young and old to life. Structure brings peace. That is why we work with a clear daily programme full of recognisable moments. We sing with the dance teacher, make music, do arts and crafts and dance. In between there is time for a bottle, fresh fruit or a tasty bread meal. Nappies, wipes and caring hands are always available. The very youngest sleep in our quiet bedrooms; anyone who wants may cuddle their own cuddly toy from home. KombinoCare is a second home. Moreno, our very first child, is now fifteen and still waves cheerfully when he walks past. That sense of connection is priceless.
