Koetjes & Kalfjes

Welcome to Koetjes & Kalfjes After-School Care in Someren! We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years in a unique agricultural setting. Our location at Ruiter 1a features its own farm with animals that children can care for daily. We have calves being born, a vegetable garden where we plant and harvest seeds, and a nearby nature area for endless outdoor play. Our after-school care is located on the upper floor of our childcare center, where we have our own kitchen for preparing healthy treats with products from our vegetable garden. Children not only learn to cook and bake, but also where food comes from. We collaborate with care farm Onder Ons, which means our children also have contact with elderly people and learn to interact with different generations. Our qualified team guides children in all activities, working in horizontal groups by age category. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except on official holidays. Children can come to us for after-school care, holiday care, and study days. We provide a safe environment where children can play, discover and learn while enjoying our farm animals and the nature around us.
