Werveltuin

Werveltuin is our small-scale daycare centre located in the heart of the Haagse Beemden district, on the grounds of De Werft primary school at Raaimoeren 21 in Breda. We are part of Kober, yet to parents and children we are simply ‘the place around the corner’: familiar, personal and always nearby. We welcome a maximum of 16 children from about 2½ to 4 years old. Our group operates as both a toddler room and an Early Childhood Education (VVE) group. This means we give extra playful attention to language, colours, shapes and other developmental areas. As our pedagogical professional Sofia puts it: “Toddlers are curious; a perfect moment to let them explore the world in a playful way.” A day at Werveltuin is deliberately varied. Children can dress up, build, do gym, read, make music and, of course, play outside a lot. We regularly head into the neighbourhood, for example to Somerweide playground. Everything we do is tuned to the toddler’s developmental stage: safe, challenging and always with a smile. Because we are located inside the school building, the children become familiar with primary school at an early age, making the transition to group 1 nice and smooth. We celebrate holidays together and ensure a warm hand-over when a child turns four. Practically everything is arranged for you. The hourly rate is all-in: food and drinks, fruit, healthy snacks, nappies, wipes and all extra activities or outings are included. Parents receive daily updates with a photo or a short report via our Parent App, so you can still feel part of the day. We believe in room to grow: for children, for parents and for our staff.
