Welcome to KO de Hummeltjeshoeve combigroep De Klaproos, our small-scale daycare centre in the heart of Nieuwland. We provide care for up to 8 children aged 0 to 4 years in one vertical group. This set-up offers young children the calm and security of an intimate group where toddlers and babies play and learn together. Our location at Torenstraat 4 has a single, welcoming group room that is both safe and inviting. The space can be flexibly arranged so there is always a quiet corner for the very youngest and a challenging play area for toddlers. Large windows let in plenty of natural light and give a view of our own enclosed yard. Outside, children can climb, dig in the sand and discover how plants grow. We also have outdoor cribs: when the weather is nice the children nap in the fresh air, surrounded by the sounds of nature. As part of Kinderopvang de Hummeltjeshoeve we share the same warm, child-centred philosophy. Our pedagogical staff know every child and their parents personally. Because of the small group size we can offer true individual care: a steady sleeping and feeding rhythm for babies, playful language and motor-skills development for toddlers, and the attention every child deserves. We believe children need to feel safe before they can explore the world and develop to their full potential. Parents can choose half-day or full-day care.
