Kleinschalige Kinderopvang Het Uilenbos is a small-scale after-school care (BSO) located at Dorpsstraat 81 in the centre of De Wijk, municipality De Wolden. Run by sole proprietorship Wolting, we provide care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12. The location has been registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK number 247374568) since 25 June 2019, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. Our BSO is designed entirely around the needs of school-age children. We offer care before and after school, during study days and school holidays. Thanks to our small scale, we can give personal attention and create a homely atmosphere in which children feel safe and comfortable. Our pedagogical staff work according to a clear pedagogical policy and attend regular training sessions to maintain and further develop the quality of care. We value close contact with parents. We keep parents informed through a newsletter and daily hand-over moments about activities and their child’s development. An active parent committee also contributes to policy discussions.
