Kleine Urt

Peuterspeelzaal Kleine Urt is located at Van Vollenhovenkade 15 in Leiden, right next to the kindergarten classroom. In this cosy, bright space both toddlers and parents can get a first taste of primary school life. We work closely with International School and FloreoKids, who share the same building, allowing us to draw on each other’s expertise and facilities. Our outdoor area is the large schoolyard that we share with the school. Toddlers have their own cycling track with different types of bikes to race on and let off steam. They also enjoy a slide, artificial grass, a sandpit, a wobble device and many more play opportunities. We use the playground at different times from the school children, ensuring everyone can play safely and calmly. In bad weather we use the school’s gym to burn off energy. Kleine Urt offers four morning sessions a week from 08:30 to 12:30 (Monday to Thursday). We run pre- and early-school education (VVE) programmes that stimulate toddlers’ language and cognitive development. Our pedagogical team consists of team leader Liesbeth, coach Miranda and pedagogical staff members Cynthia and Erna.
