Klein Duimpje

Peuteropvang Klein Duimpje is located within primary school De Marnix at Schimmelpenninckstraat 2 in Katwijk. We provide care for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years in two small, clearly arranged groups named Pinkeltje and Duimelot. Our rooms are purpose-built for toddlers and our freshly renovated playground offers plenty of space for safe outdoor play and discovery. We follow the official VVE programme ‘Speelplezier’ (Playful Learning). Learning through play is central: we sing, read aloud, craft and explore themes that match the world of toddlers. In this way we practise language, numeracy, motor skills and social abilities in a manner suited to young children. Activities are always varied and tailored to each child’s developmental stage. Our toddler care is open every weekday from 08:30 to 12:30. During the morning the children receive a healthy snack and a drink. We work in fixed groups with familiar pedagogical staff so that every child experiences the calm and trust they need. Our small scale ensures personal attention and a safe, homely atmosphere.
