Kindkracht 0/12, location Beresterk is situated at Sportpad 17 in the centre of Roelofarendsveen and offers after-school care (BSO) for up to 30 children aged 4 to 12. We are the place where pupils from De Roelevaer, Elckerlyc and De Klimboom primary schools can play, relax and explore safely and challengingly after school. Our starting point is that after-school time is the child’s free time. After a long school day there is plenty of room for relaxation and free play. Our rooms are furnished in a homely yet challenging way: children can choose whether they want to be active in the sports and movement corner, take part in a creative activity, or simply rest in a quiet corner. We work with horizontal groups so that activities and materials match each child’s age and developmental stage perfectly. Besides the extensive free-play offer, our pedagogical staff organise daily activities in the fields of sport, nature, culture, technology and creativity. During holiday weeks we put together a varied programme with sports clinics, nature excursions, creative workshops and fun outings. Children decide for themselves whether to join in or continue their own play. Our location works closely with the nearby primary schools. We pick the children up after school and guide them safely to Beresterk. On the way there is plenty of time for a chat or a game. Parents collect their children themselves at the end of the care day. We believe it is important that children can be themselves and learn to interact with others. Our pedagogical staff support the children in their social-emotional development, so that they grow up with pleasure and self-confidence.
