Kinderwoud Sint Jozef

Peuteropvang Sint Jozef is part of Kinderwoud and located within the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Sint Jozef at van Dekemalaan 2 in the centre of Heerenveen. We provide toddler care for children from 2 years old in a safe, familiar environment where learning through play is central. Our goal is to prepare your toddler optimally for primary school. The toddlers work in a fixed horizontal age group we call ‘the Giraffes’. Under the guidance of our qualified pedagogical staff, the children are offered age-appropriate activities that match their stage of development. We use recognised materials and work thematically, so that language, motor skills, social skills and independence are stimulated in a playful way. In addition, we provide pre-school education (VE): all toddlers in the group participate, including children who need extra support or extra challenge. Our spacious, colourful rooms are on the ground floor of the IKC building and open directly onto a secure outdoor play area with green play equipment and a sandpit. Every morning we start together; the children drink together and eat fresh fruit. At around 12.30 we end the day with a pedagogical lunch so that your toddler has enough energy for the afternoon. Peuteropvang Sint Jozef is officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK 104696916) and is supervised by GGD Fryslân. You can visit us Monday to Thursday from 08.30 to 12.30.
