Welcome to Kinderwoud KDV Het Noorderlicht, our daycare center on the edge of Oosterpark in Harlingen. Located on the grounds of IKC Het Noorderlicht, we provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our 28 childcare places are divided into horizontal age groups, ensuring each child receives the attention they need. Our qualified pedagogical staff create a warm, colorful environment where your child feels safe and secure. We follow Kinderwoud's pedagogical policy, focusing on development, discovery and play. We provide pre-school education (VVE) for all toddlers, aimed at language and speech development. Children with a VVE indication receive extra support and can attend additional sessions. We provide diapers, food and drinks, so you don't need to worry about practical matters. For infant formula, we ask you to bring your own. We have separate sleeping areas and our own outdoor playground where children can run around and explore. Our daycare is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Half days are possible: a morning session from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM or an afternoon session from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We work closely with Het Noorderlicht primary school, ensuring a smooth transition to toddler care or later school years. Feel free to drop by to experience the atmosphere.
