Welcome to Kinderwoud KDV De Poppestien, located at Mr. W.M. Oppedijk van Veenweg 7 in the heart of Burgum. At this beautiful location we provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a warm, homely environment. The spaces are spacious, bright and atmospherically furnished, with special attention paid to a challenging play-and-learn environment that matches each child's developmental stage. Our pedagogical staff work according to the core values of Security, Individuality and Self-development. We offer a safe foundation in which every child is SEEN and given space to develop at their own pace. Play-based learning is central: we work thematically with activities aligned to our pillars of playful learning, movement, music and healthy nutrition. Children can participate in cooking and baking activities, music and movement activities, and together we discover the world through fun excursions. For the youngest ones we have a separate baby group where rest, regularity and security are central. We follow your child's rhythm and provide all necessary care: from diapers and bottle feeding to cozy sleeping spots. For toddlers and preschoolers there are stimulating corners set up where they can play, discover and learn. We work with horizontal groups, where children come together in age groups. Our location has its own outdoor playground where children can enjoy fresh air daily and romp around. We also regularly use the nearby playroom for extra movement activities. We believe it's important that children eat healthy and varied meals; our cooks prepare fresh, warm meals daily and there's always fruit and healthy snacks available. Special dietary requirements such as vegetarian, gluten-free or lactose-free can of course be accommodated. Kinderwoud De Poppestien works with a parent app to keep you informed about your child's daily experiences. We offer both full and half-day care and are officially registered as a pre-school education (VE) location, giving your child a good preparation for primary school.
