Kinderwoud Het Vogelnest

Welcome to Kinderwoud Het Vogelnest, our daycare centre located at Tureluurstraat 20 in Heerenveen. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely, secure environment where every child is truly GEZien: our core values of Security, Individuality and Self-development guide everything we do. Our professional pedagogical staff follow the developmental model, tailoring activities and materials to match each age group’s specific stage of growth. We organise children in horizontal groups so babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers each receive the pace and space they need. Every day we create a warm, trusting atmosphere that forms the foundation for learning through play. Our programme is built on five pillars: playful learning, movement, music, language development and healthy nutrition. Children sing, dance and make music, explore arts and crafts, and enjoy daily story-time from our library corner. We also cook and bake healthy snacks together, allowing children to discover new tastes in a playful way. Outdoor play takes place in our secure garden where children can run, climb and experience nature. For the youngest ones we provide personalised bottle feeding, nappy changes and quiet naps in separate sleep rooms. Toddlers develop language and motor skills through themed projects and small-group activities. We offer both full-day and half-day care, with opening hours from 7:00 to 18:30 to fit your schedule.
