Kinderwoud De Tille

Welcome to Kinderwoud De Tille, our warm daycare centre at P.K. Pelstraat 1 in Drachten. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 in a homely, secure environment. Our team of experienced pedagogical staff work according to our core values of Security, Individuality and Self-development: every child is truly SEEN! We use horizontal groups, with babies (0-2) and toddlers (2-4) in separate rooms. This allows us to offer age-specific activities while remaining flexible when needed. Our baby area is quietly furnished with cots, feeding chairs and a dedicated changing corner. Toddlers enjoy a large discovery room with areas for building, books, role play and creative activities. Development is central to our daily programme. We work thematically, aligned with young children's worlds. Themes like 'Do you feel what I feel?' help us name emotions through puppets and songs, while 'Backpack crazy' takes us on discovery trips in the garden. Music, movement and creative expression feature daily. We sing, dance and make music together with simple instruments. Our staff guide language development through lots of talking, reading and rhymes. Outside, we have a secure garden with natural play materials. Children can build sandcastles, explore water or simply enjoy running around. In fine weather, our youngest sleep outside in fresh air in outdoor cribs. Excursions stay close to home: we regularly visit nearby De Tille shopping centre to see the fire engine or smell flowers at the florist. Care is in safe hands with us. We use Pampers nappies and wipes are included. Bottle feeding is provided as requested by parents, using either brought-in formula or expressed breast milk. For older children we serve a healthy lunch with wholemeal bread and fresh fruit. Allergies and dietary requirements are discussed personally so every child can participate safely. Parents stay involved through our app. You receive daily photos and brief reports about how your child experienced the day. We work closely with OBS De Tille in the same building, ensuring a smooth transition to toddler care later. Do come and visit – we love making every day a beautiful day!
