Kinderwoud De Kompenije

Welcome to Kinderwoud De Kompenije, located in the multifunctional building De Kompenije at Wolfsklauw 25 in Jubbega. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4. Our location is part of the Frisian childcare organisation Kinderwoud, which has been active in the region since the 1970s. Play-based learning is at the heart of our approach. We follow the pillars of playful learning, movement, music and healthy nutrition, as scientific research shows these factors have a positive impact on young children’s brain development. Our qualified pedagogical staff carefully design activities so that your toddler can develop in a safe yet challenging way. We offer pre-school education (VE) for all toddlers in the group. This programme stimulates your child’s broad development and is also intended for toddlers who need extra support or who are ready for additional challenges. If your child has a VE indication, they can attend extra sessions and will receive additional guidance. At De Kompenije we work multilingually: we speak both Dutch and Frisian. We do this to stimulate children’s language development in a playful way. We collaborate with SFBO (Sintrum Frysktalige Berne-opfang). Parents can also provide “comfort words” in their own language so we can comfort your child even better during difficult moments. Our toddler care is open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 12:30.
