Kinderwoud BSO De Bistebus

Welcome to Kinderwoud BSO De Bistebus, our welcoming after-school care facility in the heart of Burgum. Since January 1, 2005, we have been providing a warm second home for up to 42 children aged 4 to 13 at Lauermanstraat 21B. We are a true after-school care facility: children come to us after school to play, relax and discover new things. Our pedagogical staff provide a varied program every day with themes that connect to the children's world of experience. Think of 'Backpack je gek' where we travel to different countries, or 'Kunstkriebels' where we discover our creative talents. At Kinderwoud, we believe in learning through play. Our activities are always focused on our three pillars: exercise, music and healthy nutrition. We regularly organize sports and games activities, music workshops and healthy cooking and baking activities. In addition, we go on excursions and offer creative workshops. Everything is aimed at making children feel GEZien - which stands for Security, Individuality and Self-development. During school holidays, we provide care for all children aged 4 to 13. We then provide a special holiday program with extra outings and activities. We also offer before-school care (VSO), so parents can bring their children calmly before they go to school. Our location is safe and familiar. We work closely with primary schools in the area and ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care.
