Kinderwoud De Akkers

Kinderwoud De Akkers is located in the multifunctional centre De Akkers at Veluwelaan 47 in Heerenveen. In this centre we work closely with CBS Spring and OBS Route 0513. Our location offers toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years. This toddler care is designed to prepare children for primary school in a playful way. We use a rich play-and-learn environment that stimulates play and language and connects with the child's world of experience. There is a continuous learning path to primary education, taking advantage of the proximity of the schools in the same building. We provide pre-school education (VE) to stimulate the broad development of toddlers. This is available for all toddlers in the group, including children who need extra support or are looking for more challenge. Children with a VE indication can attend extra sessions and receive additional guidance. Our pedagogical staff carefully plan the activities so that every toddler can develop optimally. The toddler care is open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 12:30. During the morning your toddler enjoys lunch with us.
