Kinderwoud BSO Duinterpen

Welcome to BSO Duinterpen, our homely after-school care centre located at Keizersmantel 1 in Sneek. Since 2014 we have offered a warm and welcoming place for up to 104 primary-school children aged 4 to 13. We are part of Stichting Kinderwoud, a Frisian organisation with more than 75 locations that parents and children have trusted for over twenty years. Our day starts early: from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on weekdays and throughout all school holidays our doors are open. Our qualified pedagogical staff collect children on foot or by bicycle from nearby primary schools. Older children may come and go independently if parents give written permission. We work with age groups as much as possible, because playing with peers is important for social development. Infants find security in their own base room, while older children prefer activities outside the group. Each group has a fixed mentor who is the regular contact for both child and parents. Our activity programme is broad and varied: Discover & Explore, Sport, Fit & Fun, Cooking & Baking, Music, Theatre & Art, Nature & Adventure and Chill & Play. We work thematically and actively involve children in choosing activities and arranging spaces. During holiday BSO a packed programme awaits with excursions, sports days and creative workshops—think skating in Thialf, museum visits or walking the “Barefoot Path”. Healthy food is included: fruit, drinks, crackers and bread. We take allergies and individual dietary needs into account. Parents arrange everything easily via our parent portal and Parent App: from requesting extra care to swapping days. Feel free to drop by and experience the atmosphere.
