Welcome to Kinderwoud BSO De Petteflet, located at Bloemstraat 17a in the heart of Sneek. Since 2010 our centre has provided professional after-school care for up to 34 children aged 4 to 13. We are part of Kinderwoud, the Frisian childcare organisation that makes every day special by letting children feel GEZien: Safety & Security, Uniqueness and Self-development. Our experienced pedagogical staff welcome children in horizontal age groups, ensuring activities match each developmental stage perfectly. We work thematically according to Kinderwoud’s pillars: learning through play, movement, music and healthy food. Each period focuses on a current theme – think ‘Backpack yourself silly’ exploring the world, or ‘Art tickles’ full of creative expression. These themes come alive in DoenKids, our digital activity programme supplemented with workshops, outings and sporty clinics. The site features a spacious outdoor playground where children can romp, play football or simply relax in the fresh air after school. Healthy nutrition is a priority: fruit and drinks are included and we regularly cook and bake healthy recipes together. For parents we offer clear communication through our app, including theme letters so you can connect at home with what your child experienced that week. Kinderwoud BSO De Petteflet works closely with primary schools in Sneek-Zuid, ensuring we safely collect children after school and immediately provide a familiar place to relax, play and develop. Our goal is simple: make every day a beautiful day, so your child goes home with a smile.
