kinderWORLD in partnership with OSB De Omnibus is located on the ground floor of primary school De Omnibus in Almere-Stad West’s Literatuurwijk. We provide day-care for up to 14 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our group is organised into horizontal age groups: a baby group (0-2 years) and a toddler group (2-4 years). This setup offers calm, overview and a safe environment where every child receives the attention they deserve. We follow the DORR development-tracking system and the Peuterplein toddler programme. This means we offer focused activities that match your child’s developmental stage. We sing together, make music, do arts and crafts, read aloud and go on regular outings. Our excursions take us to the petting zoo, the park, the library and nearby playgrounds. Toddlers also cook and bake in the Creative-Kids kitchen, always under supervision. The day starts at 06:30 in the Start Group, where children from all groups play together until about 08:00. Afterwards the pedagogical staff take the children to their own home group. Babies have a separate sleeping room with cots; the toddler group has a quiet corner with mattresses. In between, a healthy meal is served: fruit, bread or a hot lunch, adapted to any allergies or dietary requirements. Our outdoor play area is right next to the day-care centre and is safely fenced. Toddlers can play here independently; babies use outdoor play mats or the pushchair during a walk through the neighbourhood. Access to our location is secured; you ring the bell to enter. We value close communication with parents. During the intake interview we take ample time to get to know each other, discuss wishes and draw up a settling-in plan together. We keep the conversation going afterwards: daily at drop-off and pick-up, via the parent board and during parent evenings.
