Kinderdagverblijf Kinderwereld has been located at s-Gravendijkwal 81a in central Rotterdam since 2011. We are a small-scale daycare centre welcoming up to nine children per day in one vertical group. Children are welcome from 10 weeks up to 4 years old. Thanks to our deliberate choice to stay small, we can guarantee personal attention and a homely atmosphere. Each morning starts in our vertical group, where children of different ages play together and learn from one another. The space is carefully arranged into themed corners such as a construction area, a play kitchen and a quiet reading nook. We use age-appropriate toys that spark imagination and support development. Our staff organise daily activities; crafts are done in small groups, with children from the age of two joining in to develop fine motor skills. Rest, regularity and cleanliness are central. The children follow a fixed daily rhythm with set eating and sleeping times. Every day we serve a warm meal prepared in a special way to preserve all nutrients. We eat together at one big table: ‘seeing food makes you eat’. Formula feeding, fruit and nappies are also included. Safety and security are our top priorities. Children are given space to develop at their own pace under the guidance of consistent, qualified staff who truly know each child. At the end of the day we consciously choose calm activities such as reading aloud and table games, so parents collect their child relaxed. There is currently no availability for new children at the daycare centre, but you can register for the waiting list.
