Welcome to KinderRijk Daycare Piet Hein, a modern daycare centre in the heart of Amstelveen. Since 2020 our KDV has been located in the Piet Hein Integrated School at Dr. Schaepmanlaan 4, within walking distance of the city centre, the Cobra Museum and the Amsterdam Forest. With two horizontal baby and toddler groups we provide care for up to 40 children aged 0 to 4. We deliberately opted for a clear, calm design with plenty of natural light, warm wood and scaffolding accents and well-defined themed corners. Each group has its own sleeping area, changing station and a fixed team of pedagogical staff who really get to know your child. The central indoor hall serves as a meeting place and gives access to our studio, where children work daily with paint, clay, natural materials and large creative projects. Our activity programme is varied and development-oriented. We sing and dance with the children, provide toddler and writing dance, organise theatre performances and cooking activities where children cut vegetables or knead bread themselves. Three times a week we serve a hot, vegetarian lunch; on the other days we offer an extensive lunch box with fruit, dairy and whole-grain products. Special dietary requirements and allergies are of course respected. The natural garden surrounding the building invites exploration: mud kitchens, sand and water tables, a small vegetable garden and challenging climbing equipment. In fine weather we spend a lot of time outdoors; in cold or rain we use the covered outdoor area or the large indoor playroom. Parents follow their child’s development through our parent app, in which we share photos, reports and the daily routine. In short: at KinderRijk Daycare Piet Hein we combine small-scale care with room for great adventure, so that your child feels safe, secure and challenged to grow.
