KinderRijk Buitenschoolse opvang Noorddammerweg

KinderRijk After-School Care Noorddammerweg is located inside primary school De Westwijzer in the Westwijzer district of Amstelveen. We provide care for up to 70 children aged 4 to 13. Our setting is small-scale and homely, so every child quickly feels at ease. Children are collected from the partner schools De Westwijzer and Amsteltaal Zuid; older children may walk to the BSO independently after signing a self-reliance statement. Our three after-school groups are organised by age: two groups for 4 – 7 year-olds and one group for 7 – 13 year-olds. Each group has its own room with quiet corners, a creative studio and access to our enclosed nature garden. The youngest children have a sheltered outdoor space where they can garden, build dens and discover insects. Older children can retreat to a ‘quiet house’ after a busy school day and relax in a chill-out area with comfy seating and board games. Twice a week we use the school gym for sports and movement activities such as dodgeball, dance and live-action strategy games. In our studio we run creative workshops ranging from painting and sculpting to stop-motion film making. Children actively help plan the programme through our Children’s Council. During school holidays we organise excursions to places like the Amsterdamse Bos, the Van Gogh Museum or a nearby climbing forest. We serve a warm meal around 5 p.m. Children eat together at the table; a vegetarian option is always available and we take allergies into account. Through our parent app you receive daily photos and short reports so you can share in your child’s experiences.
