Welcome to KinderRijk BSO Aalberselaan, located in the Rembrandt Broad School at Mr. P.J.M. Aalberselaan 2 in the heart of Amstelveen, right next to the Stadshart shopping area and the public library. Our after-school care brings childcare and education together under one roof, offering parents and children a calm, familiar place every afternoon. Our versatile team creates a warm home for 94 primary-school children aged 4 to 12. Freedom of choice is key. Each day the children decide which activity they want to join: cooking in our kitchen corner, sports and movement challenges in the gym or on the playground, technical building projects, creative studio assignments or imaginative role-play. We work with five horizontal groups. One group is specially designed for the youngest infants and is located in the daycare section of the building; the other four groups provide a challenging programme for middle and upper primary levels. Our attractive, spacious building features a central hall that invites social contact, a professionally equipped studio, a vegetable garden where children grow their own vegetables and herbs, and a large green outdoor garden with climbing equipment and natural play areas. During school holidays we organise trips to the Amsterdamse Bos, Natureluur, Freestyle Gymnastics and the swimming pool. We also cooperate with the public library to offer reading and media assignments. Pedagogically we work from KinderRijk’s four core values: Fun, Respect, Development and Imagination. We provide a safe, familiar place where children can relax after an intensive school day and are challenged to discover new things. All our pedagogical staff are professionally trained and attend regular in-service training. Parents receive photos, reports and messages through our parent app and are always welcome to drop in for a chat. KinderRijk BSO Aalberselaan is a non-profit social childcare organisation. We are open to all children and actively cooperate with Rembrandt primary school and other schools in the area.
