Welcome to KinderRijk After-School Care Sportlaan, our after-school care for children in group five and higher. We are located at Sportlaan 31 in Amstelveen, on the grounds of hockey club Myra. This unique location gives us access to excellent sports facilities that we use daily to challenge and develop children. We work with two groups of children aged 8 to 13. We believe in a horizontal group structure where children of similar ages play and learn together. Our location manager Tim Zoutendijk, who has 15 years of experience in childcare, has a passion for sports and brings this energy to the location every day. Together with his team of educational staff, he ensures an environment where fun comes first. After school, we pick up the children from school or they come to the location independently. We always start with a joint moment at the table with fruit and drinks, where we discuss the day and catch up. Then children can choose: play independently or participate in the activities we organize. Sports and physical activity are central to our program. We make optimal use of the hockey fields and other sports facilities of Myra. Additionally, we regularly organize excursions, especially during school holidays. These can range from a visit to a nearby playground to larger group activities. We work with a parent app through which we daily share photos, messages and daily reports. This keeps parents involved in their child's development. Our educational approach and health & safety policy can be viewed through the app or requested from Tim. For interested parents, we are happy to organize a personal tour. We will show you where your child will develop through play and tell you more about our vision. The after-school care is open on school days until 6:30 PM and during school holidays from 8:15 AM to 6:30 PM.
