Welcome to KinderopvangKoerine v.o.f., located on the farm at Steenwijkerdiep-Zuid 10b in rural Scheerwolde. We are an agricultural daycare centre where children aged 0 to 4 can grow up in peace and quiet among the animals and the wide outdoors. Here they can climb on the play frame, roll down the hill, dig in the sandbox, watch a newborn calf and even sit on the tractor. This unique setting gives every child the space to develop at his or her own pace. Our approach is based on ‘green pedagogy’. This means we consciously create a safe environment, care for the animals and experience nature together. We are affiliated with the Association for Agricultural Childcare (VAK) and follow their framework. We also hold the GD Quality Mark for Zoonoses, so parents know we take measures to prevent zoonotic diseases and safeguard the health of both children and animals. KinderopvangKoerine is officially registered in the National Childcare Register with 32 daycare places. We work with vertical groups: children from 0 to 4 years old share one group. This allows the youngest to learn from the older ones and helps toddlers develop caring skills. Our qualified staff follow each child’s development with attention to rest, rhythm and structure.
