Welcome to Kinderopvang Zonnebloei at Orionlaan 60 in Hilversum, where children literally and figuratively come into full bloom. Our cozy facility is nestled between the green lanes of Hilversum and offers a warm environment where children aged 1.5 to 4 years feel completely at home. With a spacious outdoor play area filled with natural materials and a bright indoor space of 120 m², we create the perfect setting for adventurous discovery journeys. At Zonnebloei, we believe in the power of nature as a rich learning environment. We are a 100% outdoor school and go on adventures every day, regardless of the weather. Children smell the scent of the forest, hear the sound of birds, and feel the leaves rustling past them. We work with one vertical group of maximum 14 children, allowing siblings to play together and creating close bonds between all ages. Our pedagogical vision is inspired by nature: we stimulate self-discovery and collaboration, with great attention to the seasons. A typical day starts between 7:30 and 9:00 AM with bringing the children and free play. Then we begin with a circle opening and depart for the forest for our morning activities. Around 10:15 AM we enjoy fresh fruit with water or tea, followed by a creative activity such as making mud paint, making music with trees, or making birch sap and elderberry juice ourselves. After a warm organic meal, there's time for rest and quiet play. In the afternoon, we go back into nature for even more adventures. Our experienced pedagogical staff guide children's learning through stories, games, research, animal tracking, songs, bushcraft, gardening, and crafts. Of course, we give plenty of time and attention to unstructured free play, because playing is 'the work' for children. We are open Monday to Wednesday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
