Welcome to Zien childcare De Torteltuin in the heart of Heerenveen! We provide loving childcare for children aged 0-4 years in a homely, safe environment. Our location is within walking distance of the city center and features a beautiful discovery garden with chickens and rabbits where children can play and explore to their heart's content. At De Torteltuin we operate two baby groups (0-2 years), two toddler groups (2-4 years) and a toddler plus group (3.5-4 years). Each group has a fixed team of qualified childcare professionals who know the children inside and out. We value warmth and familiarity highly. Our spaces are atmospheric, bright and offer countless discovery corners where children learn through play. We follow the pedagogical vision of Reggio Emilia and Emmi Pikler. We believe every child is born with '100 languages' - think music, dance, art, nature, science and sports. In our gym we offer tailored movement activities. We're outdoors often: walking to the city center, playing in the garden or sleeping outside. We regularly organize excursions and work with natural materials. Parents follow the day through our app. We're open 51 weeks per year from 7:30 AM-6:30 PM.
