De Vlasschoeffies

Day-care centre De Vlasschoeffies is part of the Stichting Kinderopvang Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and is located at Molenweg 2 in the centre of Koewacht. We are situated on the grounds of primary school De Vlaswiek, together with the local library and youth club we form a broad school. Parents and children enter through the large black gate onto the patio; right in the middle you will find our entrance. We welcome children from 0 to 4 years in one horizontal group. Soft colours and natural materials give the room a homely, secure atmosphere. The youngest babies have their own floor-level play-pen filled with discovery and play materials, allowing them to explore at their own pace. Toddlers take part in our pre-school education programme Uk & Puk, which stimulates language, early numeracy and social skills through play. Our outdoor area borders the kindergarten playground; toddlers play outside together with the older children every day. These daily contacts make the eventual transition to primary school smoother and more familiar. The garden offers plenty of space to run, discover and play together. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. During school holidays the day-care keeps its regular schedule. Extended opening hours from 6.30-7.30 a.m. and 6.00-6.30 p.m. are available for parents who need extra flexibility. Half-day sessions from 9.45 a.m.-12.45 p.m. or 12.45-3.45 p.m. can also be arranged. Feel free to drop by for a tour; we look forward to welcoming you at Molenweg.
