Welcome to Kinderopvang Vlinderrijk B.V. at Kattenburgerkruisstraat 5 in Amsterdam. Since 5 July 2023 our small-scale after-school care (BSO) has been a second home for up to 20 primary-school children aged 4 to 12. Our cosy premises are located on a quiet street in the Kattenburg neighbourhood, close to the city centre, so children can join us straight after school. We believe that after an intensive school day children need both rest and the freedom to choose what energises them. Our wide range of activities therefore includes creative arts and crafts corners, outdoor play in our own garden and regular excursions to the nearby park or cultural spots in the city. Our experienced pedagogical staff guide sports and games, provide homework support and organise themed weeks in which we might cook, experiment or write stories together. Trust and open communication with parents are the foundation of our work. Through our parent app you receive daily photos and messages, so you know exactly how your child spent the afternoon. Healthy meals are included: fresh fruit, a warm meal or a healthy snack is always ready. We take allergies and dietary wishes into account and work closely with parents to give every child a safe and happy feeling. Our care is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30.
