Welcome to Thuizbij Kortenhoef, our day-care centre located at Julianaweg 11a in the heart of Kortenhoef. We are Stichting Kinderopvang ’s-Graveland, a trusted name in the village since 1990. Since February 2016 we have been housed in the characteristic building ‘De Matrijs’, a former day-care facility for adults that we have transformed into a homely place where up to 66 children aged 0 to 4 quickly feel at home. Our small scale is our strength. By deliberately staying small we know every child and every parent personally. We work with four horizontal groups: two baby groups and two toddler groups. In addition, we offer a playgroup and half-day care. The spacious group rooms flow seamlessly into a large, green garden with no surrounding traffic, so children can play, explore and grow outside safely. Pedagogically, we work from one simple principle: everyone should feel at home. Our permanent, experienced pedagogical staff provide a warm, safe environment in which every child is given the space to develop at his or her own pace. We follow a clear daily routine, within which there is room for rest, play, pre-school education (VVE) and of course lots of personal attention. Parents find an open door with us: we communicate transparently via our parent portal and are always ready for a chat or consultation. Feel free to drop by for a tour.
